How much weight does you lose a week on Atkins?

I would try South Beach diet instead. It is similar to Atkins, but is more sensible and seems healthier. The first two weeks is very difficult, but you can lose up to 14 pounds, I think I lost about 8 in the first two weeks. After that you add back in carbohydrates, but only "good" carbs. Brown rice, whole wheat pasta, fruit, etc. And you are not supposed to just eat whatever meat you want like a pound of bacon, you are supposed to choose lean meats and low fat or fat free dairy. It really is designed to stop your cravings for those bad carbs the first two weeks, and then give you a sensible way to eat for the rest of your life.
