Cervical cancer? Worried.?

My mother has been experiencing bleeding which is very abnormal for her. She has been bleeding for three/four weeks since her period ended. The doctor said it may be the Menopause, but I doubt it since she is only 41, it's possible I guess. I'm just worried because her mother died the same age as she is now of Cervical cancer. I looked up online and saw that abnormal bleeding is a symptom of cervical cancer. Shes going for a blood test tomorrow and a internal. Do you think we should worry?
